Tilox Privacy Policy

1. What Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide you with a smooth, personalized brewing experience, split into two categories:

• User-Provided Information: This includes all content you create and store on Tilox: your fruit wine recipes, fermentation tracking logs, custom brewing notes, and any personal details you choose to add (such as brew name, batch size, or your display name when sharing recipe cards). If you choose to create an account for cross-device sync, we will also collect your email address and account password stored in encrypted form.
• Automatically Collected Usage Information: We collect anonymized usage data to improve our service, such as app performance metrics, crash reports, and feature usage frequency. This data never includes your private recipe content and cannot be linked back to you personally.

2. How We Use Your Information

We only use your information for purposes directly related to the service we provide:

• To save your recipes, track your ongoing fermentation stages, and generate shareable recipe cards as requested
• To enable cross-device sync if you choose to create an account
• To improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features that better fit the needs of home brewers
• To respond to your support requests if you contact us with questions or issues
• To protect the security and integrity of our service

We will never use your private, original fruit wine recipes for commercial purposes or share them with third parties without your explicit written consent. We respect your intellectual property in the recipes you create.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Shared Recipe Cards: If you choose to create a public shareable recipe card and share it with others, any information you include in that card will be accessible to the people you share it with. You are fully responsible for what content you choose to include in shared recipe cards.
• Trusted Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party service providers (such as cloud storage providers and email services) to operate our service. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and only use it as instructed by us.
• Legal Requirements: We will only share your information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to keep our service safe from harm.

4. Data Storage & Security

By default, all your recipe and fermentation data is stored locally on your device. If you enable optional cloud sync, we store your data on encrypted servers with industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access. While no method of online storage is 100% secure, we work hard to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

You can export a full copy of all your recipe data at any time, and permanently delete any or all of your data from our servers at your request.

5. Your Rights Over Your Data

You retain full ownership of all content you create on Tilox. You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete any of your personal information or recipes at any time
• Export a full copy of your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt out of non-essential data collection and analytics
• Withdraw your consent for us to store your data, and request full deletion of your account and all associated data

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our service or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes through the app prior to the change taking effect. Your continued use of Tilox after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
